Dear New Life Church,
This week, we realized that it has been exactly 9 years that our facility has been open. Can you believe it? 9 years of memories, events, laughter, baptisms, life change.
Our church has never been about a facility, though. It’s always been about the people.
That’s how God builds His church, through the people. Despite changes in location or leadership, Jesus continues to build His church, and even the gates of hell will not overcome it (Matthew 16:18).
And it is with this scripture in mind that I want to share some news with you:
After months of much prayer and counsel, I have decided to resign as Senior Pastor of New Life Church. My last Sunday will be November 28th.
I have been so encouraged to see God work in our church since I first joined the staff over 8 years ago. And I know that He will continue to work. That’s just what He does.
I truly believe that the best days are ahead for New Life Church. New Life Church is such a spunky, unique, and authentic place. I’m so grateful for you and your faithfulness to trust God in all things and in new seasons.
Please pray for my family and I as we transition into a new chapter. And let me know how I could be praying for you. Please feel free to text or email me and I’ll do my best to respond all month.
Our board of elders and Steve Scott, District Superintendent are putting together a plan to ensure that New Life continues to thrive in the future. Also pray for the future leader who will step into this very important role.
God has got you, New Life! Cling to Him and rely on Him more than ever.
I pray that you will take risks, try new things, and continue to stretch outside of your comfort zone to chase Jesus. You may find yourself doing things you never could do before, simply because God was with you.
Which reminds me, my favorite verse:
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
