Jim Cymbala, pastor of the Brooklyn Tabernacle once wrote, “I despaired at the thought that my life might pass me by without God moving greatly on my behalf.”
Have any of you ever felt that way? When the strings of your heart tug, I hope you take the time to listen and reflect. Right now this church is being blessed. God is inviting us to take part in an incredible journey. This journey is first and foremost about faith. You see God wants to use Imagine to open our hearts and grow us. Have you taken just a few minutes each day to read through the devotional section of your Imagine Journey Guide?
Friends, I see God opening a door, will you earnestly pray and reflect on what role God wants you to play? I know many of you are doing this and that encourages me.
As I write this I am so moved by the hearts of New Lifers. Your desire to love is what makes New Life vibrant and I am glad to be a part of Christ’s body together.
Not long ago I was achieving what I always thought I should be achieving. A college education, MBA and executive level job. I was doing what I always dreamed of doing, but something was missing. Like many, I thought the next promotion, the next raise, the next toy I purchased, etc. would bring satisfaction. My journey and call into ministry is way too long for a blog, but I can tell you that the Journey was centered around prayer. Will you take time each day to make prayer a priority?
